What is KPA-CTP? Find out here
I’ve been there. I know how our dogs actions can deeply conflict with our emotions. We love them but we are hurt, frustrated and embarrassed by their behaviour.
I felt helpless with my first dog, Emma. Learning the science of how positive reinforcement training and dog behaviour works, gave me a different perspective.
I was finally able to help Emma, and in turn help myself.
Now I am here to help you!
Rebecca & Emma
Rebecca shares her life with Emma, a happy yet complicated 5-year-old goldendoodle. Emma proved a challenging adolescent who developed reactivity and while searching for solutions it ignited Rebecca’s interest and passion for dog behaviour that led to years of educations & training experience.
Rebecca approaches training for her valued clients with positivity and compassion. She is passionate about supporting dog guardians who feel stuck and want to invest the time and energy to build clear communication and a strong relationship with their dog.
In her free time she enjoys spending time outside with her family, playing a role in the community musical, singing in the choir, baking gluten-free goodies, playing board games and piano.

Using positive reinforcement, science-based training helped me and Emma navigate the world with more confidence.
What is positive reinforcement, force-free, science based training? Click here.
We’re fortunate to benefit from decades of behavioural science clearly demonstrating the power of positive, fear-free training to transform canine behaviour. We use positive reinforcement training and a science-based lens when working to teach or change behaviour.
We focus on building and reinforcing desirable behaviour, while also implementing management to decrease undesirable behaviour. With positive training we avoid common unwanted (and sometimes tragic) side effects of traditional training focused on punishing “bad” behaviour.
With this proven science available to us, well-educated trainers such as ourselves, have set aside old school methods in favour of safer, more humane approaches to training.
Rebecca will never use punishment-based tools, fear, intimidation or force your dog into uncomfortable situations to get a desired behaviour.
Proven to benefit you and your dog while delivering results.
